Hello!

Michael here — a passionate automotive photographer based in London, and one of the best motorcycle photographers according to BikeExif (and my mom).

I moved to the UK from my lovely city of Riga (Latvia) to study at the UCA (Rochester) and gained my BA in contemporary photography in 2010. After a few years of trial and error within different photographic genres I realised that automotive was what truly excited me. I’ve always been a petrolhead, and finally I found a way to combine my two greatest passions.

My adventures have taken me far and wide — from the galleries of Tobacco Dock, where I’ve covered the Bike Shed custom motorcycle shows, to the picturesque roads of the Basque country for the annual Wheels and Waves motorcycle festival. My lens has been covered in burnt rubber at Goodwood Festival of Speed and the dust of the Kentish hills while shooting the Malle Mile. Even cow herding in the beautiful Welsh countryside had to be done by a pair of Triumph motorcycles. 

I love shooting bikes in their natural habitat and in the studio, where I can highlight their best features and angles with creative studio lighting techniques. One of the highlights of my studio work has to be the mighty Triumph ridden by Daniel Craig in the latest “No Time to Die” Bond film. 

I will find the best visual solutions for your brand whether a small independent builder, a craftsman of motorcycle accessories or a major manufacturer.

Apart from bikes, cars have also played a major role in my life. Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some exciting brands including Porsche Club GB, Atalanta Motors, Bicester Heritage and Collecting Cars. A certain milestone has been recently achieved by shooting my 100th car for the Car& Classic auctions. Yet, it still fills me with excitement and fresh ideas each time I point my lens at the next car. So I cannot wait to collaborate with more great people in the industry.
